Felting a mix of 74/2 wool and tencel in a deflected double weave structure has produced a very soft, textured fabric.
This fabric length is reminiscent of the landscape of my English forbears, as well as the view I enjoy of farmland from my own backyard. With the sheen of the tencel and matt look of the felted merino, one can visualise the sun shining on the tops and shading the hollows of the valleys.
With its strong textural finish, my pick for this fabric would be a close-fitting, structured jacket with a peplum, featuring a cream dupion silk for the sleeve. Total luxury!
